What is the Deutschlandticket?
The Deutschlandticket is Germany's nationwide local transit ticket, available as a monthly subscription since May 2023. It covers all buses, trams, subways (U-Bahn), commuter trains (S-Bahn), and regional trains (RE/RB) throughout the country.
The ticket is also abbreviated as D-Ticket and is the successor to the 9-Euro-Ticket from summer 2022.

Price History
The Deutschlandticket launched in May 2023 at an introductory price of €49/month. Since January 2025, it costs €63/month. Despite the increase, it remains significantly cheaper than regional monthly passes for most commuters.
